Miss Independent

That is definitely Faith's name now!  At just past three, she feels she is now capable of doing everything all on her own, and I would be wise to not interfere!  Miss Independent now insists on putting her shoes on all by herself, every time, which results in her wearing her boots most of the time, because she can easily put them on!

She also is insisting on picking out her own clothes now, so I usually try and steer her in the right direction, but some days, like today, it was not worth the effort.  She didn't do too bad.
Getting in the car to go some where has become a process, she must be the one to fasten her own buckles, which is quite a challenge for her still.  A perk is that she is finally feeding herself, instead of always asking for help.
We have also had five nights of uninterrupted sleep now, she has apparently decided that big girls really do sleep in their own beds!  I'm not sure why that stopped so abruptly over the summer, she had always stayed in her bed all night, but I am so very very glad she has started again!

She is recently interested in writing numbers and surprised me by counting to 13 all by herself!  We have been to our Parents As Teachers Playgroup three times, the first two she had a big melt down at the end, but during did great, including being very cooperative with the therapists!  This last time we went she was such a sweet girl and she did so well, not a single whine out of her!  Her therapists say she is doing really well working with them, I'm so relieved, she has been known to be a little strong willed.

I have to admit that I'm anxious to see what she accomplishes next!  She is growing up so fast!
