The table was set with more bargain finds, a striped twin sheet, folded to size, for just $1, a metal tub for $7, a large cake stand, spray painted white for $1, pop corn containers 8 for $1 at a yard sale, fun root beer float glasses for $1 each (also a party favor).
And finally, my favorite, the candy jars that were FREE from a friend of mine, that I also used at my sister's wedding. The chalk board labels were part of a set of 40 that I got online for just $4.
For food, we had old fashioned candy, popcorn, old fashioned bottles of pop and instead of cake, Grace just wanted to have root beer floats.
It was really light and fun.
For games we tried to have a bubble gum blowing contest, but it didn't work out so well with the Bazooka gum, it does not blow bubbles well! The girls had a good laugh over it.
We also tried a hoola hoop contest, the girls had fun trying, but with not much success. LOTS of laughs!
After sweating it out for a little while, they filled bags with sweets and hit the couch to watch Grease.
Just enough room in the family room for everyone.
I am such a big fan of Grace's friends, each one of them is just so sweet, smart, and confident,
I really think each of them is a wonderful influence on her.
I think all the girls had a great time.
This picture pretty much says it all!
SUCCESS!
